What are the guidelines regarding the Birmingham Lockdown? (Zen Living is still open!)

From Thursday 5 November, the National Covid Tier system has been replaced by a National Lockdown instead.

Social gatherings with family or friends are not allowed unless they are part of your household, meaning the people you live with, or your support bubble.

Here are some guidelines that will show the reasons that one is allowed to leave or go outside:

1. Childcare or education, if this is not provided online.
2. Work purposes, where your place of work remains open and you cannot work from home.
3. Exercise outdoors or visiting an outdoor public place, with the people you live with, with your support bubble, when on your own, or with 1 person from another household.
4. Any medical concerns, reasons, appointments, emergencies, or to avoid or escape risk of injury or harm, such as domestic abuse.
5. Shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine to visit members of your support bubble or provide care for vulnerable people, or as a volunteer.
